Overview

In the summer of 2019, Wynright is moving to a brand new facility in Hobart Indiana. At that time, ALL manufacturing positions will be located in Hobart Indiana.    


 


Senior Application Engineering Consultant performs Application Engineering duties as assigned by the Application Engineering Manager.  Responsible for systems design, estimating, product pricing, engineering, and developing customer relationships


Responsibilities

    Works with the Integrator Sales Team, as well as Integrator/Partners to define system requirements and specifications.

  • Designs systems or structures for industrial material handling projects; specifies auxiliary equipment and systems

  • Works with customers to specify peripheral equipment such as workstations, forklifts, carton erectors, case sealers, and other material handling equipment; evaluates alternative technologies

  • Writes proposals, evaluates vendor offers, and estimates project costs, including working with other Wynright groups and vendors

  • Supports Integrator/Partner Sales Team , including visiting job sites for customer meetings and surveys

  • Creates plans, drawings, estimates and equipment lists, including drawings in AutoCAD 3D and NiC automated pricing.

  • Provide Integrator Partners and Sales with support in technical matters, pricing, layout design, troubleshooting, documentation as well as other subjects as required.

  • Serve as Subject Matter expert to support the efforts of the Documentation group, as well as act in an advisory role to the Product Development and Engineering group to ensure that our Product line meets the needs of our Integrator Partners.

  • Works with Sales, Engineering, and Production to develop pricing for new product lines or special equipment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of Material Handling industry experience preferred

  • Knowledge of material handling

  • Knowledge of project management and minimum of one engineering discipline

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D drawing preferred

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and, after training, Wynright’s Microsoft CRM, ROI, AutoEstimator 4, and NiC conveyor estimating tool

  • Knowledge of financial accounting preferred

  • Requires hands-on skills, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, and organizational skills to manage projects to successful completion

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to learn new technologies

  • Ability to work weekends and evenings as required, particularly for “go-live” event
