Position Description:

Primary Duties:

Coordinate/perform environmental test activities for Engineering, Qualification, First Article and Control Test in-house/vendor.
-Perform Failure Analysis as needed in-house/follow up at the vendor.
-Review/develop and approve test plans, test reports, Failure analysis reports and Critical Item Development Specifications.
-Evaluate/analyze test results.
-Review impact on engineering change requests relative to verification test adequacy.
-Design and develop test equipment (fixtures) for environmental testing.
-Identify, order and procure material for test
-Oversee fabrication of test equipment
-Prepare weekly status reports.
-Office and laboratory environment with some shop and factory exposure.

Potential exposure:

-Coordinate Home office support activities with field test sites on programs.
-Manage short term and long range planning for implementation of any test program objectives, costs and manpower requirements needed to meet contractual performance schedules.
-Develop/Update Vehicle Configuration Matrix for each variant
-Working Knowledge of Data Acquisition systems and Instrumentation devices for full vehicle testing

Position Requirements:
-Working toward Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; other technical degrees will be considered with relevant experience.
-Must have the ability to design mechanical fixtures and testing apparatuses.
-Working knowledge of various test equipment and test measurement methods and environmental exposure methods.
-Personal computer skills: MS Office Suite
-Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills desired.
-Ability to meet ASR requirements in order to work in/on various vehicles.
-Minimal travel required.
-Candidates must have attained Sophomore status (completed Freshman year requirements)
-Candidates must be at least 18 years old
-Candidates must currently be attending an accredited university or college and enrolled in an undergraduate program
-Candidates must preferably have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0
-Successfully pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
-The Intern must be able to complete a minimum of a 3 month assignment and work full time for the duration
